Celebrating 30 Years!

You are cordially invited to celebrate the Centre House homeless shelter, at it's current location for 30 years! Housing Transitions started out as a small organization called Temporary Housing, Inc in 1984. The concerned citizens who helped to form it started with a 3 bedroom apartment that offered a cot and something to eat. Once the organization moved to 217 E Nittany Ave in the Historic Highlands Neighborhood near downtown State College, services expanded and now provided a pathway from housing crisis to stability. Case managers meet individuals and families where they are at on the path, with a goal of independent and sustainable housing solutions for those experiencing homelessness, or at risk to become homeless. With 13 beds and up to two family units, the old house filled with lots of character, is also home to the Housing Transitions offices. Join us on May 16, 2018 to Celebrating 30 Years at this Location 4-7pm Open House style Garden Party in the Green Space There will be a brief Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors at 5:30pm.
