The Temporary Housing Foundation (THF) is a branch of Housing Transitions which
provides affordable housing options for income qualified individuals and families. The foundation was originally the fundraising arm for Temporary Housing, Inc, the former name of Housing Transitions. Today, it operates as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), enabling it to purchase, rehabilitate, and sell homes in the State College Borough at an affordable rate to a First-Time Home Buyer. In addition, the organization owns properties offering affordable rentals.
THF welcomes involvement from community members who wish to engage in discussion and action to find affordable housing solutions for Centre County. Regular meetings of the Board of Directors occur on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm in the Borough of State College Municipal Building. The Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors is held in January of each year. Currently, there are openings on the Board of Directors.
