Centre House Shelter - (814) 237-5508 | Contact Info

Hello to our clients, our community,

On behalf of the Housing Transitions Staff, and Board, I thank you for visiting our website and your interest in how we are responding to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 virus and the measures that are being taken in our communities to prevent the spread and save lives. We are adhering to the most up-to-date recommendations being provided by health care professionals, epidemiologists and government officials.

As you know, we provide essential services in our community. We will continue to provide those services throughout this crisis, and with the knowledge that the effects of it will reach far beyond the social distancing taking place now. We are concerned with the impact that the people who regularly experience housing insecurity, who live paycheck to paycheck, may be at increased risk because of the economic slow down imminent in this climate.

We are evaluating the situation each day and taking action to best serve our current clients and be ready to serve future clients. Please check back here often to see if there are changes. If you are someone who would like to help, we will provide up to date ways to do that too.

Sincerely,

Morgan Wasikonis, Executive Director

What We Are Doing

We are working and answering calls 24/7.

We are continuing to provide services to current clients including Centre House Shelter residents.

We have relocated Centre House Shelter residents in the hopes of providing for social distancing and reducing risk of exposure, but are continuing to provide food, supplies, and services.

We are working remotely and are trying to provide for continuity while collaborating with area agencies and local governments to problem solve and proactively address the needs of our community.

We are not currently able to accept donations of goods. This may change in the future.

We are always happy to accept financial donations.

We are not currently able to accept in person volunteer help. This may change in the future.

We are wishing you health, and safety and will try to do whatever we can to help prevent the spread of the Covid-19 illness!

Thank you!
