Bridge Housing is a transitional housing program that provides a home for individuals and families who are currently experiencing homelessness. Residents continue to receive individualized Case Management to set goals, access resources, maintain stability, and grow into a more independent lifestyle. Residents have up to a year to secure permanent housing.
- Program includes two Bridge Housing units in the State College area.
- Program participants meet with the case manager on a weekly basis to discuss goals and progress while working towards finding permanent housing.
- Program participants pay 25% of their net income as a program fee, which is applied towards the rent.
- Program participants are required to follow the Program Agreement, Rules and Guidelines.
- Housing Transitions holds a master lease on these units.
The following Centre County agencies may refer homeless individuals or families to our Transitional Housing program: Centre House, Centre Safe and the Youth Service Bureau.
